To a Christian, life
matters. Our connection to the Spirit of Life also
matters.
How can we connect
to God in the ups and downs of life? Our Lenten Parish
Mission, "Christ our Cornerstone" addresses just that
- where and in Whom do we find stability in the messiness
of life? The Isaiah Mission team of Fr. Dan Doyle and lay
woman Vallie Leone will fly in from Florida to present
four evenings of inspiration at 7:00 p.m. from Sunday
March 21 to Wednesday March 24. That Monday night will be
our parish communal penance service.
Some other
opportunities for growth in faith are also coming up.
First, there will be a Women’s Day of Reflection
entitled "Beauty Unfolding" on May 22 from 8 a.m. to 1
p.m. We will spend a quiet morning together as we pull
back from the busyness of life to contemplate the wonder
and work of God in our lives. Reflecting on our own faith
stories, we will see the Lord’s hand in the beauty that
unfolds within us. And a Men’s Retreat entitled
"The Spirit of God in the Workday World" is tentatively
set for Sept. 11. Keep your ears open for an adult class
on World Religions in the Fall.
