This year we have attempted to introduce all our
students in the Parish School of Religion to a deeper
understanding of service to others. At Christmas time we
made various decorations and cards for the area Nursing
Homes. We also collected food, paper, and soap items for
the needy. We did Adopt a Family and provided toys and
clothing for four families in the Salvation Army and St.
Vincent de Paul organizations.
During Lent, our goal is to bring about
self-improvement by choosing to make the ordinary every
day sacrifices a part of our spirituality and growth in
our relationship with the Lord. Seventh graders in Mrs.
Thompson’s class will be serving the parish community by
helping with the preparation, setup, and cleanup for the
Seder Meal.
The Seder Meal will be on Palm Sunday, after the 11:30
a.m. Mass, in McMahon Hall. (Reservations are required and
are on a first come, first served basis, so make your
reservation early. McMahon Hall will only hold 200 people
for this special service.)
