The beginning of a new school year always brings a set
of new changes – new teachers, new classrooms, new school
supplies, new routines, and for Sacred Heart School this
Fall, a new principal, Tracey Arnone. Here are some lines
she wrote to introduce herself:
I would like to introduce myself as the new principal
of Sacred Heart School. My name is Tracey Arnone. I am
married to Ray and we have two children who attend Sacred
Heart School. I come from the Wadsworth City School system
where I have been a teacher and administrator for the past
16 years. I’ve lived in Wadsworth and been a member of
Sacred Heart Parish almost my entire life. Most
importantly, much of what I am today can be attributed to
Sacred Heart School, as this is the elementary school from
which I graduated. My wish is to be able to give back to
the school and the parish that has given so much to me.
One of the main goals our school hopes to accomplish
this year is the building of a community within our
school. Actively involving parents, grandparents, and
interested parishioners in our school will help our
students and our school to be a vibrant part of our parish
life. Pope John Paul II has continually
stressed the importance of giving our children the faith,
hope, and love of Jesus so that they can build a bright
future for our world. We hope to allow all of the children
at our school to receive a strong preparation both
academically and spiritually so that they will be ready to
face the future with confidence. We believe that all of us
– teachers, staff, parents, and parishioners must help in
sharing our faith with our children.
Some of the events that our students will be
participating in during the first part of the school year
are: 1) Nine days to 9/11 – a nine day novena ending on
Sept. 11; 2) Meet the Teacher Night, which will feature
parents and Sacred Heart school alumni as speakers; 3)
Fifth and sixth grade overnight trip to Camp Christopher;
and 4) Eighth grade trip to Williamsburg. We would like to
invite parents and parishioners to say the Chaplet with us
every Friday afternoon at 3 p.m., and to feel free to join
us for Mass at 9:30 every Thursday morning. We know that
many parishioners have gifts to share with our children.
If you are interested in being a part of our school,
please call 334-6272 and tell us how you would like to
help. We ask for your continued prayers for our students
and our school.
